SENIOR ENVIRONMENT ARTIST


Sproing Interactive Media is a games developer located in Vienna, Austria. Since its foundation in 2001 Sproing has become an international company with a track record of over 30 published games on console and PC. Sproing offers the opportunity to be part of an international team, to work on high quality games for top platforms, and to advance with a constantly growing company. For our current multi-platform projects we are looking for a skilled Senior Environment Artist with the ambition to work as a Lead Artist in our graphics department. You will be working on-site with a team of in-house and external artists, supervising the creation of art assets, developing art pipelines, and producing high quality sample assets and guidelines for production.

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of professional experience (games, movies or TV)
  • A strong sense of design backed by knowledge of art principles, architecture, color and lighting depending on strong suit (strong environment art skills preferred)
  • Excellent 3D software skills, preferably Maya (experience with other packages are a plus)
  • A great eye for art styles and artistic quality
  • Time management skills with an ability to juggle multiple assignments effectively
  • Experienced in different middleware applications
  • Excellent knowledge in digital sculpting programs (e.g. zbrush, mudbox)
  • Excellent texturing skills, proficient use of Photoshop etc.
  • Profound understanding of the technologies and specs involved in creating games
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Strong background in traditional drawing and/or illustration


Of Advantage:
  • Experience in animation (including rigging, setup, etc.)
  • Worked on released games, preferably console
  • Experience and readiness for mentoring and tutoring other artists
  • German language
