Senior Game Programmer (f/m)

Your tasks

  •  Implementation of major features in our current online game projects
  • Work on code architecture, task estimations and risk management
  • Contributing to the continuous development of our tools and technology
  • Guiding junior programmers (depending on the project)

Your profile

  • Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
  • Perfect understanding of web technology, e.g. network-connections, security, load balancing, etc.
  • Experienced in client technology, e.g. Flash, ActionScript 3, HTML(5), JavaScript, C++, etc.
  • Highly experienced in server technology, e.g. C++, Linux, Apache, php, MySQL, etc.
  • Solid programming skills in C++
  • Experience with Java, C# or other programming languages is a plus
  • Ability to identify the risks, dependencies, and priorities in a project
  • A love of video games
  • Good English skills (oral and written)

Ideally

  •  Experience in server and gameplay programming
  • Broad technical knowledge (e.g. hardware, other programming languages, etc.)
  • Experience in developing C++ based server applications
  • Experience with database management systems
  • Experience in tools development (deployment, build systems, editors, etc.)A desire to progress as a person and take on higher responsibilities
  • European citizen or EU work permit

Austrian work law binds us to indicate the legal minimum wage for each advertised position. For the position, it would be gross EUR 3158,00 per month, 14 salaries per year (IT Kollektivvertrag, ST 1 ,Erfahrung,). The salary can be higher to recognize a candidate’s experience and skill level.
